Music Festival St. Fields

The Fields Festival of Inventive Music embarks on a Northern Expedition. Titled St. Fields, the St. Petersburg edition will take place on 3-4 July in the picturesque expanses of Sevkabel Port, on the shores of the Gulf of Finland.

By prioritizing the sincere and direct, St. Fields will look into the bins of the St. Petersburg underground, reveal authentic musical artifacts hidden in the vast lands from Karelia to Kamchatka, and finally fill the deficit of the overseas avant-garde.

This weekend, Sevcable Port is home to voracious musical hedonists, inquisitive sound explorers and free flight ravers. Outlandish electronics and pristine folklore, boundless ambient and wayward jazz, new composer music and rabid rave-pop - St. Fields will prove empirically that opposites do attract.

Petersburg for Fields is more than just a city. Possessing the status of a cultural capital and a special geographic location, it has long embodied the idea of a bridge between two civilizations - the “Orthodox East” and the “progressive West”. The historical context of the city turned out to be an exact rhyme to the multicultural ideology of the festival, forming a single puzzle of St. Fields.
