The stone bust of the poet is set at the intersection of Mayakovsky and Nekrasov streets, not far from the house 52 on Mayakovsky Street, where the poet rented an apartment from 1915 to 1918.
The monument was installed in 1976, 46 years after the death of the poet. The authors managed to put the main features of his character and creativity in the composition. Bust of the poet- futurist is placed on a high pedestal square section. It reflects the commitment of Mayakovsky, his prospect and not reconcilable relation to reality.
