Monument to the Russian traveler, a researcher of Central Asia N.M. Przhevalsky was installed according to the project of his friend, Major-General A.A. Bilderling. To fund the project, the Russian Geographical Society organized a subscription.
The bronze bust of the traveler is located on a pedestal in the form of a granite rock. There is a bronze figure of a camel with traveling packs next to pedestal.
Sometimes a monument to Przhevalsky is taken for a monument to Stalin because of external similarity, there is even a legend about their relationship.
