The newly unveiled monument to the prominent Russian Silver Age poet Alexander Blok is located near the building accommodating his apartment museum.
The 3.6-meter high bronze figure on a granite pedestal was created by sculpture Yevgeny Rotanov and architect Ivan Kozhin.
The poet is shown as walking bent forward as if trudging through St. Petersburg’s stormy weather and the 1917 revolution’s hurricanes.
