Famous building
Constructed in 1913-14 by architect Semion Krichinsky, the Art Nouveau building originally accommodated the St. Petersburg Brigade of the Separate Border Guard Corps.
What now looks like a mere extension to the façade was a chapel dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. Consecrated on November 1, 1915, it was shut down in 1918 after the 1917 Bolshevik revolution.
Presently, the building is part of the Mozhaysky Military Space Academy.
