“Let Us Be Tempted by the Great Indian Path”

Marking the centenary of the launch of Nicholas Roerich’s Asian expedition, the exhibition features photographs, postcards, drawings, paintings, and handicrafts from the Roerich family’s collection, copies of the first editions of their books, and other items, courtesy of the State Museum of Oriental Art (Moscow), the Nicholas Roerich Museum (New York, US), and the Roerich Family Museum (Ulan Bator, Mongolia).

The expedition started in May 1923 to eventually become one of the 20^th century’s most important scientifically and longest in time and distance Asian expeditions.
