Within the framework of the Year of Germany in Russia 2020/2021, an exhibition “The Iron Age. Europe without Borders ”is a large-scale international scientific project, which has become the next step in the field of cooperation between museums in Russia and Germany.

The aim of the exhibition “The Iron Age. Europe without Borders ”- to show the elements of culture, economy, everyday and ceremonial life of Europeans in the era of the Iron Age using archaeological material. The exposition is organized according to chronological and geographical principles, includes several thematic sections corresponding to archaeological cultures that have developed over a wide area from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Ural Mountains in the east. The presented monuments are distributed according to regional groups of cultures and archaeological complexes, among which there are burial grounds, settlements, treasures, and accidental finds.
