The cycle of exhibitions "Moscow Seasons" on Elagin Island has been acquainting Petersburgers and guests of the city with the work of leading Moscow glass artists for the third year already. On July 30, an exhibition of Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, People's Artist of Russia Lyubov Savelyeva will open at the Museum of Art Glass.

Lyubov Savelyeva is famous for her original glass works, but she works no less successfully with faience, is engaged in painting, graphics, and writes poetry.

Love for literature, a sense of rhythm, sound, words led to the emergence of poetry - an original synthetic phenomenon of the union of image and word. Nevertheless, the leading material in her work is glass. Savelyeva's plastic, airy-transparent glass compositions are metaphorical, full of author's sensations of the world, people, and landscape.

From 1967 to 1990, original, new-type glass compositions by Lyubov Savelyeva received 14 prizes and diplomas from various domestic and international organizations, they were distributed in museums and are kept in collections in Russia, the USA, Belgium, Denmark, Great Britain, Sweden and other European countries.

Lyubov Savelyeva created a series of portraits "My Friends"; portraits of favorite poets and writers - A. Pushkin, M. Yu. Lermontov, N. V. Gogol; cycle of self-portraits.
