Festive Culture in 19th-Century St. Petersburg

Telling of St. Petersburg’s festive traditions from old times, the exhibition gives the viewer an opportunity to learn how people in the city used to celebrate Christmas, Easter or Pancake Week, to take a look at a table set for Christmas dinner, to drop by a fair with Russian amusements and games intertwined with European carnival traditions.

The exhibition features over 80 items from the museum’s collection, including confectionery packaging, baking cups, molds for Easter cakes, etc.
