Oriental Wisdom: Teachers, Pupils, Books

Telling of Buddhist, Taoistic, Shinto and Hinduistic traditions and teachings, the exhibition presents unique Tibetan thangka, rare Japanese scrolls, ancient Sanskrit and Tibetan books, sculptures, Oriental monk clothes, and many other related artefacts.

The exhibition’s focal point is spiritual experience as exposed through the personalities of religion founders and their accomplished followers, sages and saints, including Buddha Shakyamuni, Laozi, Confucius, Indian ascetics, and Tibetan Buddhist school fathers.
