Irina Avetangi exhibition "Philosophy of metaphors"

The exhibition of the famous Petersburg artist Irina Avetangi presents paintings, watercolors, printed graphics created in the last 22 years.

Irina Avetangi (Irina Veniaminovna Ignatieva) - artist, cultural studies, sociologist of art. She is fluent in various techniques of execution: watercolor, oil, pastel, etching (aquatint, mezzotint, etched dash), monotype. Author of illustrations for books, including children. Irina has more than 25 solo exhibitions, she is a participant of more than 60 exhibitions of painting and graphics in Russia, the USA, Israel, France, Germany and others.

The artist actively realizes herself in many areas of creative and social activities; she is the author and performer of charitable projects “Art Therapy. Traveling exhibition in hospice "," Art therapy. Synthesis of arts. Palliative care ”,“ Environment of caring people ”and others, as well as the author of the international project“ Africa 4 colors ”, within which three exhibitions of graphic works by Avetangi were held, dedicated to tolerance and the fight against racism.

The curator of the exhibition is an art historian, an employee of the State Russian Museum, Ruslan Bakhtiyarov.
