2021 marks the 800th anniversary of the birth of Alexander Nevsky. In 1725, the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky. Many statesmen have become recipients of this award. Among them are famous people such as A.V.Suvorov, F.F.Ushakov, N.I. Panin, P.I.Bagration. The order was abolished simultaneously with other orders of the Russian Empire. In 1942, the Order of Alexander Nevsky was restored in the USSR. This is the only military leader's award that has passed into the modern Russian award system.

The exhibition is dedicated to the holders of the Russian Imperial and Soviet Orders of Alexander Nevsky. The museum will present portraits of famous characters: a unique lifetime portrait of one of the first knights of the order - A. D. Menshikov, Field Marshal B. Kh. Minich, Prince P. I. Bagration, one of the most controversial heroes of Russian history A. A. Arkacheev, as well as Admiral N. S. Mordvinov, statesmen of the reign of Alexander II - V. A. Dolgorukov and P. A. Shuvalov. In the award practice of the Russian Empire, there were cases of awarding foreign monarchs with Russian orders - for example, the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky were awarded the Prussian King Frederick II and the Emperor Napoleon I.

The exhibition will also show photos and personal belongings of the holders of the Soviet Order of Alexander Nevsky: V.F.Durakov and A.M. Ivanyuk. The addition is a plate from the order service of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky and the unique "Alexander" jubilee banner ribbon of the 62nd Suzdal Infantry Regiment, which was commanded by A.V.Suvorov in the 18th century.
