The Energy of Life exhibition is timed to coincide with a memorable date in the history of Leningrad - September 23, 1942 - the breakthrough of the city's energy blockade. The exhibition will tell about the pre-war energy of the city, the energy blockade and the stoppage of urban electric transport, fuel hunger and the procurement of peat and firewood by the townspeople, the breakthrough of the energy blockade: the restoration of the Volkhovskaya GRES, the laying of an electric cable along the bottom of Lake Ladoga, the laying of fuel pipelines; restoration of the city's electrical facilities, resuming the work of city electric transport; will tell about the imperceptible labor feat of workers in the fuel and energy sector of Leningrad, using the example of the bright fate of A.G. Smirnov, one of the leaders of the city power industry.
