Saved Masterpieces. Russian Museum to Taganrog

The Marble Palace of the Russian Museum opens a unique exhibition "Saved Masterpieces. Russian Museum to Taganrog". It will show the works of the Taganrog Art Museum restored after the damage sustained during the explosion in July 2023. Then 22 works of outstanding masters, presented in the exposition "Golden Names of the Silver Age" of the Taganrog Art Museum, were damaged by the missile strike. Some of them were the key works not only of the exhibition, but also of the museum collection as a whole. Among the authors of the damaged paintings are Konstantin Korovin, Zinaida Serebryakova, Nikolai Roerich, Stanislav Zhukovsky, Valentin Serov, Viktor Borisov-Musatov, Serafima Blonskaya and other recognized masters of the turn of the XIX-XX centuries.
