Ice rink in New Holland

The ice rink is reopening in New Holland. An ice field of 2000 square meters will still be located on the site of the lawn in front of the stage, but this season visitors will have more opportunities to have a good time before, during and after the session.

On the stage and in front of it there is a heated relaxation area with tables and chairs, which can be accessed directly from the ice rink without taking off the skates. Here you will be able to get trdelnik (traditional Czech pastries with toppings), Dutch stroopwafles with caramel and warming drinks. You can get here before the start of the session, while the ice field is being prepared for the next stream of visitors.

A street kiosk on the main alley closer to the park entrance will be occupied by the pop-up project of the Kokoko restaurant by Matilda Shnurova, who is known for the innovative approach to Russian cuisine. In the spring, Kokoko will move to New Holland Island in House 12, and for now, Igor Grishechkin and his team will cook traditional Russian soups in a modern interpretation - cabbage soup, fish soup, mushroom soup with pearl barley and chicken noodle soup. The main place on the menu will be occupied by sausages of our own production: grilled beef with stewed cabbage and boiled weisswurst in brioche with sweet mustard, as well as signature desserts. The kiosk will be open on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 23:00.

The second kiosk at the end of the alley will be occupied by the box office of the skating rink, the entrance to its territory will also be located there. It will be possible to change shoes in a covered gallery located around the ice field with heaters and benches, and put things in a storage room.

Breaks between sessions this year will be one hour - this will maintain high quality ice. It will be possible to rent comfortable walking and figure skates from the 25th to the 47th size, and on the ice there will be free exercise machines for those who are uncertainly holding on the ice. As in previous years, the ice rink is equipped with a cooling system, thanks to which the ice does not melt to +10 degrees.
