On September 29 the Roman Catholic Church of the Mother of God of Lourdes will host a concert of one of the most famous organists of our time, Kora Ardesh. Knight of the knightly order for devotion to organ culture, titular organist of the Cathedral in Dordrecht (Netherlands) will perform for the first time in St. Petersburg. Musician was trained at the Sveelink Conservatory in Amsterdam, improved improvisational mastery in The Hague.
The program "The Ocean of Bach" will feature works that represent the broadest spectrum of creativity of the German genius - from chamber choral preludes to large-scale Passacaglia. A musician who recorded all of Bach's organ heritage in 2016 will organically supplement the program with his improvisation - this art was owned by old masters as well as by our contemporaries, who continue the unique organ tradition.
