St. Petersburg International Book Salon

From May 16 to 19, St. Petersburg will host one of the city’s major cultural events — the XIX St. Petersburg International Book Salon.

Its main themes will be the 225th anniversary of Pushkin’s birth and the Year of the Family. Publishers, libraries, museums, literary magazines, newspapers and universities will gather on Palace Square and in the building of the Main Staff of the State Hermitage Museum. Four pavilions and 250 stands will be located on 15 thousand square meters, which will be connected by a book terrace. For visitors the organizers will prepare swings, a large floor lamp and a photo zone imitating a giant book cover. This year, for the first time, a mother and child room will be equipped on the territory of the Salon.
