Concert of the Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra for the 120th anniversary of George Gershwin

Jazz Philharmonic Orchestra presents a program dedicated to the 120th anniversary of George Gershwin - a composer who miraculously combined in his compositions the traditions of academic music and jazz.

Tunes that became classics of the 20th century belong to him: themes from Broadway-staggering musicals and operas Porgy and Bess, Hollywood songs, and, of course, Rhapsody in blues tones. They have become an integral part of jazz culture and live today including as a so-called standards - the themes that become the basis for ingenious improvisation, allowing musicians to demonstrate their musicality and technical excellence. In this capacity, they will sound in the concert.
