The Roerich Family Museum-Institute presents the work of the Moscow artist Gleb Solntsev. One of the most popular designers in Russian art of the last decade has prepared about twenty works especially for his St. Petersburg exhibition. This is Solntsev's first personal exhibition in St. Petersburg. Picturesque canvases using the vibrant colors of Asia are dedicated to the theme of temple architecture. Some paintings contain dates, titles, names, which gives them the character of travel notes, depicts the buildings of temples and shacks of fishermen, colorful umbrellas of the golden beaches of the Indian Ocean and Buddhist stupas, idyllic landscapes with golden mountains - "fragments of the sky", green reed leaves, all it conveys the memorable atmosphere of India.

A manifestation of Gleb Solntsev's artistic talent was his participation in a creative project specially created with the participation of the XIV Dalai Lama's administration in the person of Tai Situ Rinpoche in 2011. Some of the works from that project will be shown in an exhibition at the museum-institute. There are also paintings and graphic works, a book with illustrations by the author and sketchbooks with sketches of travel.
