Kronstadt Museum of Fort Replicas

The museum features scaled replicas of Kronstadt’s major forts, both surviving and already non-existent. Although 87 times smaller than the respective real forts, each replica is strikingly detailed, telling the forts’ history in numbers, dates and facts.

The museum offers interactive tours. Its audio guides as combined with two screens and a 3D mapping system animate the replicas to immerse visitors into the three centuries of Kronstadt’s maritime glory.

Unveiled in March 2021, the museum is housed in the building historically known as the Dutch Kitchen, an early 19th century architecture monument combining elements of both the dying Baroque and the emerging Classicist style.
