Gallery 153 is a creative cluster located in the attic of the apartment building of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra at 153 Nevsky Prospekt (Staro-Nevsky Prospekt). The space united within its walls an art gallery and a painting studio, a library, a literature club, a photo and video studio, a cafe-bar and a culinary studio, two lecture halls, a cinema for private screenings, etc.
It hosts art exhibitions, concerts, literary events, trainings and master classes, lectures and other interesting events in the format of a closed club.
The building in which the art cluster is located is also interesting: the apartment building of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra was built in 1901-1903 in eclectic style designed by architects L.P. Shishko and A.A. Vincent. Since 1903, the poet Maximilian Voloshin lived in the house for several months.
