Expoforum

Expoforum is a new congress and exhibition center, which opened in St. Petersburg on October 7, 2014. This is the most modern in Europe and Russia venue for business and entertainment events of any scale and format - exhibitions, congresses, forums, sports and cultural events.

The complex includes three exhibition pavilions, a congress center with a total capacity of 10,000 people (35 conference rooms), the first in St. Petersburg hotels of the world brand HILTON, a business center, cafes, restaurants and other facilities.

The most spacious hall of the congress center can be used as a cinema hall: it includes an amphitheater for 1121 seats and a universal widescreen screen of 24 x 10 meters - one of the largest in St. Petersburg.

On the territory of the complex the Church of the Smolensk Icon of the Mother of God was reconstructed. Lost in the war years, the temple, built in the XVIII century according to the project of Giacomo Quarenghi, in a rare for Russia two-columned type, was recreated according to the surviving drawings of the architect. In 2011, a capsule with a message to the descendants was placed in the foundation of the church.
