British Book Center

The largest library of English-language literature in St. Petersburg and a cultural and educational platform in the historical center of the city. This is a great place for language practice, cultural exchange, creative and professional implementation of those who study and teach English.

On the site of the Center, events are held in both English and Russian. For those who want to speak English, various meetings are regularly held at the Center for British Books:

• Speaking Club: a conversation club with native speakers and experienced teachers, where participants in English discuss the most diverse, but always relevant topics.
• Game Night: evening board games in English. The Center's collection includes games such as Apples to Apples, Scrabble, Lexicon, Taboo, Bohnanza, Cranium, Fabula, Cockroach Salad, Malarky, UNO, Scotland Yard, Cluedo and many others.
• Seminars and master classes in preparation for international exams (IELTS, TOEFL, FCE, CPE, etc.).
• Presentation lectures for those who are interested in education abroad.
• Master classes in theater improvisation in English.
• Creative meetings with writers, composers, scientists from English-speaking countries.
• Film screenings are in English with Russian subtitles.
• Lectures on history, culture and science.

The library annually hosts several major educational events, including an English children’s festival in September and a forum on contemporary British literature in November.
