Library "On Stremyannaya"

The library on Stremyannaya Street is a small cozy space for reading and intellectual pursuits. There are exhibitions and lectures, creative meetings and film screenings. In addition, for history and architecture lovers, the library organizes walking tours along the streets of the former Dvortsovaya Sloboda - here the Art Nouveau building, in which the library is situated, is located.

The house at Stremyannaya St., 20, not far from Nevsky Prospekt, was built in 1899-1902 in the Art Nouveau style, designed by the architects Gustav von Goli and Herman Grimm. At the turn of the century Troitsk school and the book warehouse of the society for religious and moral education were located here, which is reminded by a mosaic inscription on the facade of the building.
