Eternal Classics

The exhibition demonstrates the continuity and interconnection of the classical traditions of printmaking and landscape photography, based on the aesthetics of Shinto philosophy and the artistic forms of pictorial photography. Each author with the help of his works tries to realize, express and construct a special state of “gelassenheit”, which allows to let go of existence and stay in silent uncertainty and mystery.

The exhibition presents the works of more than 20 photographers from all over the world, including the pioneer of photogravure Peter Miller, the classic photographer Frank Dituri, the master of metaphysical landscape Everett Kennedy Brown, the stars of Asian photography Han Sang Pil and Hiroaki Izumi, Professor of the New Academy of Fine Arts named after Timur Novikov Stanislav Makarov and Chairman of the Union of Photographers of St. Petersburg Alexander Dymnikov.
