Exhibition of young artists from all over Russia "Equilibris"

As part of the summer exhibition season, the curators of DiDi Gallery present a group project of young artists “Equilibris”. The exposition includes works by both participants in many Russian and foreign exhibitions, as well as works by authors who have just recently made themselves known on the art scene.

The names of the authors - Anna Syarova, Alexander Koks, Artem Maksimov, Tatyana Serova, Katerina Alimova, Evgeny Pilyagin, Vasilissa Savrasova - are not connected by a single institution or membership in an art group; their kinship in another. All of them are a kind of "equilibrists" - artists, in whose work one can clearly feel the transcendence of the border - the ordinary, the madness, in the end, the art itself.

The essence of circus balancing act is to bring to a virtuosity a sense of balance of the body; the essence of artistic balancing act is to always balance on the brink, not breaking into the abyss of madness and not succumbing to the temptation of "simple joys" of the craft. This requires total concentration and deep thoughtful awareness of their own abilities.

But at the same time, these artists seem to be approaching the inescapable truth of art: where its borders used to be, now its center. As you know, not everyone will be taken to the future ... But a true artist-balancer will surely walk even along the shakiest rope.
