Bob Koshelokhov is a famous Leningrad and St. Petersburg artist, whose name is inseparable from the history of unofficial art.

The Museum of Nonconformist Art invites you to get acquainted with the work of Bob (Boris) Koshelokhov - the stars of Soviet underground art. The path to painting for Koshelokhov was unusual: after 15 years of work in various positions - from a medical orderly and a driver to a participant in geoexpeditions - he became carried away by existentialist teachings and took up a brush, creating his own version of expressionism.

The artist's works, gravitating towards abstract forms, carry the viewer into a living, moving world filled with poetic images. The master loves massive forms, bright colors and dense lines, his paintings in an incredible way combine a pure, almost childish view of life and a deep understanding of the processes of the universe with an appeal to the roots of human history. In Koshelokhov's universe, in the most natural way, modern heroes can exist against the background of dolmens and menhirs.
