The Erarta Museum of Modern Art is currently hosting an exhibition of works by artist Igor Ryazantsev, who goes by the pseudonym Rene Reza. The exhibition showcases the unique style of “filumism” employed by the artist. Filumism, derived from the Latin word for “thread,” is a style that draws inspiration from modern physics and emphasizes the interconnectedness of everything. René Reza’s works go beyond traditional forms on canvas and instead use surfaces that appear to move, akin to animated models depicting the vibrations of infinite strings. The artist’s pieces explore science fiction physics, the pursuit of harmony, and eternal philosophical questions. Additionally, this exhibition includes several objects created by Reza for the first time, expanding beyond the realm of painting. The development of filumism is anticipated to intrigue and captivate appreciators of contemporary art.
