Polina Kozyreva. Second Wind

This is the second solo exhibition for the Stieglitz Academy graduate. Kozyreva’s method of creativity and perception is purely sensual: it is not enough just to find an object, but it is important to capture its uniqueness, capture the outline on paper, and then recreate it on fabric, thereby creating your own special world, using all sorts of decorative techniques with inspiration, but without violating the original forms.

Most of the drawings that are used in printed stencils carry memories of travel or certain life events, whether it's a bouquet of tulips or chrysanthemums given to a lover, linden branches collected on the Gulf of Finland or eucalyptus leaves brought from Greece.

"By saving images of plants on paper, and then converting them into a printed impression on fabric, I not only show the beauty of plants and flowers, but also remember moments of happiness, give them a second life, a second wind," explains Polina.
