The exposition presents works by Roman Shustrov (1959 - 2020) of different years, made in various techniques: sculptural compositions of papier-mâché, bronze, graphics, paintings by the author, "Humpelmans", wooden masks and photographs. Some of the exhibits will be shown for the first time and the viewer will have a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the various creative interests of the master.

The leitmotif of the exhibition was the story of the creation of the famous "Petersburg Angel", sitting with an umbrella on a bench in Izmailovsky Garden and becoming one of the city's favorite symbols. The exhibition will show pages from albums that the artist always carried with him for sketches.

Young visitors to the exhibition will be delighted with wooden play compositions, while adults will get acquainted with the author's creative ideas and intentions in films that will also be shown during the exhibition.

Roman Shustrov was born in Leningrad in 1959, graduated from drawing classes at the Repin Academy of Arts. Since the late 1980s. started working in the puppet genre. Roman Ivanovich taught at the Higher School of Fashion and Applied Art, where he had his own program at the department of dolls, and also read the author's program at the Humanitarian University for several years. In the late 90s. became a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. Since the beginning of the 2000s. was a member of MOAK, an international organization uniting doll artists, professionals and amateurs.

The Toy Museum expresses its deepest gratitude to the collectors who provided the works of Roman Shustrov, who enriched the character of the exhibition.
