The St. Petersburg State Theater Library will host the exhibition “Nikolai Burov. Profession is an artist, calling is a Petersburger. ”

Nikolai Vitalievich Burov was born on February 12, 1953 in Leningrad, from 1965 to 1970. studied at the Theater of Youth Creativity with a teacher Matvey Dubrovin. He graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography, the course of Professor T. G. Soynikova.

Acting path of Nikolai Burov began in the Theater of Young Spectators named after A. A. Bryantsev, led by Z. Ya. Korogodsky. Soon Nikolai Vitalyevich was invited to the troupe of the Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin. About 30 years of creative life are associated with this theater, dozens of roles played in more than thirty performances.

Nikolai Vitalievich Burov devoted much time to social activity. He headed the board of the St. Petersburg branch of the STD of Russia, the Organizing Committee of the highest theater prize of St. Petersburg "Golden Spotlights" and the Nomination Council.

In 2005-2008 Nikolai Vitalyevich led the Committee on Culture of St. Petersburg and represented the culture of our city at international forums around the world. From 2008 to 2017 - Director of the Museum-Monument St. Isaac's Cathedral. He is currently an adviser to the Governor for Culture.

Burov played more than 50 roles in the theater, more than 40 roles in the cinema, and almost 50 roles were voiced. The artist N.V. Burov is a recognized master of literary words, he acts as a reader with the symphony orchestra of the Petersburg Shostakovich Academic Philharmonic Society in the literary and musical programs of the St. Petersburg House of Music.

People's Artist of Russia Nikolay Vitalievich Burov was awarded numerous honorary diplomas, medals, orders of the Russian Federation.

The exhibition will present materials giving an idea of N.V. Burov as a theater actor, cultural figure and public figure in our city.
