Lois Lammerhuber. World of the Vienna Opera

ROSPHOTO presents an exhibition project by Austrian photographer Lois Lammerhuber about one of the most famous opera houses in the world - the Vienna State Opera.

The exhibition tells a story that unfolds outside the auditorium and reveals the inner life of the theater, hidden from prying eyes. There are many talented artists behind each production, their work and inspiration.

The narrators of this story are photographer and publisher Lois Lammerhuber and Dominik Meyer, director of the Vienna State Opera from 2010 to 2020. For ten years each year, they have together created photo books about various aspects of theater life.

Dominik Meyer headed the Vienna State Opera from 2010 to 2020. He worked in the office of the Minister of Culture, Jack Lang, and in 1989 was named General Director of the Paris Opera. From 1994 to 1999, he was CEO of the Lausanne Opera, and from September 1999 to 2010, CEO of the Théâtre des Champs Elysees in Paris.
