Nadezhda Burkova is a master of portrait and still life. With avaricious graphic means, she conveys the active inner life of her models, even if they are plaster busts.

- It is not always possible to see beauty in a simple bottle, lamp or saucer! And in pictures it is possible. Carefully studying our objective world, it no longer seems so primitive. In fact, everyday life can become beautiful and interesting for the viewer. Everything has its own geometry, character, and energy.

In still lifes, I often depict glass objects created by fire and the labor of glass blowers. And in the still life "Punk - set" one can feel the spontaneous force of this informal youth movement.

Perhaps that is why, to convey life through inanimate objects is one of the most difficult tasks of a still life, the secret of this life, I hope you will see in my paintings, says the author.
