The City of Peter. Petrovian St. Petersburg in the Mirror of the Silver Age Art

The exhibition presents works by Russia’s Silver Age artists, including paintings, book illustrations, early 20^th-century magazines, as well as over 150 photographs showing St. Petersburg views at that time. Many of them are displayed in public for the first time.

The viewer’s walk through the exhibition is accompanied by a recording of poems on the city written by Alexander Blok, Anna Akhmatova, Osip Mandelstam, Vyacheslav Ivanov, Mikhail Kuzmin, Nikolai Agnivtsev and other Silver Age poets, and performed by theater actors.
