Easy Winners

In Russia, there is a great variety of groups playing the music of the 50s and 70s, but almost no one in their work turns to the origins and roots of jazz. ’’ Easy Winners ’’ is an exception to the rule. The group has existed since 1998, takes part in Russian and European music festivals, performs at the best jazz concert venues in St. Petersburg, remaining, despite the appearance of new members, true to the musical traditions of the first third of the twentieth century.

The repertoire of ’’ Easy Winners ’’ is archaic jazz. The collective is remarkable not only by the choice of repertoire, but also by the originality of musical instruments: instead of the usual public drums - a washboard, instead of a double bass - a tuba (wind bass instrument), instead of a guitar - dobro (resonator guitar).

All these exotic instruments are organically combined with the classic jazz trumpet, saxophone, piano and trombone, creating a unique sound palette ’’ Easy Winners ’’.
In 2018, the band recorded their first vinyl giant.
