Ali Alishir. “In Motion"

Erarta Museum presents the first exhibition in Russia of the Turkish photographer Ali Alishir. Alishir’s mesmerizing works are represented in prestigious museum and private collections around the world: in the USA, China, Great Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands and other countries. Now you can get acquainted with the works of the author in Erarta, at the first solo exhibition of Alishir in Russia.

Throughout his artistic career, the author has been exploring the themes of human vision, cognition and perception. At an early stage, this fascination was reflected in works from series devoted to various virtual spaces. Some of them will be on view at the Erarta Museum.

The viewer will also be presented works from the series “Hybrid Souls” — more recent works that emphasize the perception of moving objects by the human eye. Despite the fact that the dancers are frozen in sculptural poses on the pictures, the artist makes the viewer feel the smooth rhythm of their movements with the help of a fanciful pattern of flying clothes.
