An exhibition dedicated to the history of celebrating Victory Day in Leningrad will open in the Peter and Paul Fortress.

The opening of the exhibition "Windows of Victory" in the Nevsky Curtain of the Peter and Paul Fortress will take place on November 26 at 15.00. The exhibition project will be based on war and post-war posters from the collection of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg.

One of the sections of the exposition tells about how Victory Day was celebrated in Leningrad for half a century - from 1945 to 1995. The collection of posters will be complemented by photographs provided by the Central State Archive of Film and Photographic Documents and sculptures from the collection of the State Museum of Urban Sculpture of St. Petersburg. With the project "Windows of Victory", the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg ends the jubilee year - the year of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition will be held online in the museum's Instagram account. The video recording of the event can be seen on the pages on social networks: www.vk.com/spb_museum, www.facebook.com/spbmuseum.
