Center for Art and Music in the Library of V.V. Mayakovsky invites you to visit the Dissolving exhibition of Fyodor Kovalov.

Fedor Kovalov was born in 1982 in Moscow, studied at the Russian State Pedagogical University of A.I. Herzen (Faculty of Fine Arts) in St. Petersburg. In the artist's works, the outline of a human face, repeated many times, loses its recognizability, “portrait”: all individual features are “washed away” from it, the face approaches the ingenious simplicity of an impression, a death mask or a graphic face-skull pattern ... It is appropriate to recall the symbolism of the "Adam's head" in art. The symbolism of color - Blood, Ether, Earth, Death, Time - appeals to the fundamental principles, the elemental Forces of being, dissolving a person in himself - with power and incomprehensibility.

The exhibition will run until March 3.
