Ostrovsky Square

Timed to mark the 200-year jubilee of Russian classic playwright Alexander Ostrovsky, the tow-section exhibition is housed in the Theater Museum and the Theater Library.

It illustrates important events in Ostrovsky’s life, major subject matters in his works, and some of prominent stage productions based on his play.

Visitors to the Theater Museum sections can also immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Ostrovsky plays, and to feel the world of his theater from within.

The Theater Library sections displays a large number of historically valuable documents including Ostrovsky manuscripts.

The project also features numerous actions and stage performances.
