Reflection on the calmness and asceticism of winter in the language of sumi-e: Olga Lebedeva, a member of the creative association "Metaphor", will show minimalist watercolors, created under the influence of the study of oriental ink painting and her own creative searches.

The exhibition will feature watercolors, reflections on winter - its fullness of silence and tranquility. According to the artist, winter reveals the natural landscape, isolating the organic matter of the season, revealing the body, the image of time as an ascetic hieroglyph. This time of the year allows you to see the essence, the basis - the plexus of frozen branches, the bends of trees, the ribbon of the black river, sleeping in silence until the spring is saturated with sounds, aromas, life.

The artist's method, her creative worldview - “minimum means - maximum expressiveness”. Olga Lebedeva studied artistic vision and composition in painting with the Petersburg master Mark Efimovich Tumin (1946–2013), a member of the legendary Hermitage group. She mastered the technique and techniques of oriental painting under the guidance of Andrei Sokolov, a researcher at the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography. Peter the Great, candidate of historical sciences, researcher of the Ainu people in Japan, a recognized master of sumi-e. In 2018 she was admitted to the Union of Watercolors of Russia.
