Mikhail Yershov. The Charm of Archaism

The Museum of St. Petersburg Art presents an exhibition of sculptures and drawings by Mikhail Yershov, a prominent St. Petersburg-based artist, who, back in the 1970s, was considered a ‘dissident.’

In appearance, the generalized figurative form of his sculptures is close to that of antient religious statues.
