"Village Chronicle": Alina and Boris Lesov. Graphics, painting

The creativity of Lesovs, Alina and Boris, daughter and father, brings a different landscape of memory to still lives, portraits, and the natural landscape.

Boris Lesov studied at the Academy of Arts (Repin Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture) in the workshop of A.A. Mylnikov.

Alina Lesova is a watercolourist, a member of the International Society of Watercolors, a member of the "Russian North. XX - XXI century ” society, traveler. In her watercolors - the northern landscape - harsh lands, sparse in color and detail, the White Sea, Yamal, Karelia and the Pskov land. Looking at the paintings, it sometimes becomes amazing how the artist turns habitual, monotonous, sometimes despondent landscapes into a “haven of calmness, work and inspiration”.

The exhibition features about twenty works of the 2000-2010s from the Lesovs' private collection.
